We are a Team Fortress 2 online gaming community.

Our offerings consists of one public 24 slot server, with vanilla settings.

We also have a forum website dedicated to discussing all aspects of the game and getting to know each other better.

Please Note: We are a clan that engages in competitive game play. We like to have fun while playing, but we are not into mic spamming, low gravity, jetpacks, gimmicky maps or party hats. If that is the type of gaming you prefer, The :HIT Clan is not the place for you

We are looking for players that fit in with our motto that is the origin of our clan's name, "Honor, Integrity & Teamwork" (:HIT:) 

We have found these traits to be relatively uncommon in the world of online gaming, and, as a result, we feel that we offer members a unique environment in which to enjoy playing Team Fortress 2.

To join our clan, you must be at least 16 years old. We are a clan of mature gamers. Recruits & members should consistently demonstrate mature gameplay and commmunication.

Since this is a game & a clan based upon strategic team building, owning and using a microphone is a prerequisite for membership.

If you are serious about joining our group, you are advised to play on our servers, communicate constructively in game, and participate in our forums. All these will allow our members to get to know you and also give you the chance to get to know the members of The :HIT: Clan.

In-game Name/Handle: Steam Nickname-J 2 the arrin (but my steam account is Teh_Magnum). Many people just call me J2 because they dont want to pronounce "J" "2" "the" "arrin". lol

Location: The state of Michigan in the grand ol U.S. of A.

Do you have a Microphone? Yes, but household conditions do not allow for microphone usage all the time.  Living with my parents (still) and taking care of my ailing mother puts a damper on the mic usability, but the times I would be able to join the servers is the same time that it would not disrupt my family. (its hard to explain)

Are you Interested in participating on a Competitive Scrim Team? Yes i am, but my activity in college and home life disrupt that, so right now i enjoy basic gaming for fun, when i can.

Favorite/Preferred TF2 Classes & Why? Spy- i enjoy sneaking around and taking advantage of the situation to terminate high ranking targets. Then i disappear and wait to strike again.  Several times i have acquired at least 10 backstabs in one life, not including kills with my revolver.  But seeing as people catch on to the spy, my second favorites would be a tie between heavy and engy for their defensive abilities.  Soldier, medic, and demo are generally my least played classes, but if the situation calls for it, i will play them well.

Why do you want to join The :HIT: Clan?  Because i think of myself as someone who plays with honor, integrity, and most importantly teamwork.  I get annoyed at the preteens who get online and call me various foul and unnecessary names cause i can waste them in a micro-second.  The one time i randomly landed on the HIT server, i was very pleased by behavior of the players, the ability of the teamwork, and the reception i recieved as a newcomer.

Have you ever been in a clan before and, if so, which one and for what game? i was in an unofficial clan for Halo 3 on the xbox. It was supposedly an MLG clan but i didnt bother with them because i was always playing TF2 instead of Halo. lol

Never misuse the name of Chuck Norris. In fact, he is the original TF2 class but he was so amazing that Valve decided to split the amazing Chuck Norris class into 9 seperate parts to balance the game.  If they hadnt, every kill would consist of round house kicks to the face.

Anything else we should know in consideration of your application? For now i would like to join this clan to get to know the people better and be able to game with people of higher quality then the random rage spammers i find on the European servers. X_X  I wont be able to constantly be involved, as i do much work with school and taking care of my family, but when i play i would like to be able to do it as a HIT clan member.  Moose was my first HIT Clan guy i met. Hes cool. And BoBo is cool too.

Are you Interested in participating on a Competitive Scrim Team? Sure! I love competition (My team took 1st in state for JV Trap Shooting)
Favorite/Preferred TF2 Classes & Why? Engie: Well, I'm good at him. I can create offensive mini-sentries in discrete spots (like hidden in grasses), and know many spots for defensive (I have the most hours in him). I am also good at pyro, as the backburner is perfect for ambushing from behind people.
Why do you want to join The :HIT: Clan? I joined one of the servers on accident, and played for a few hours. The members are very well behaved for online gamers (I've seen some weird people online), and it's great to find a server were mics are required. Also, not many new players, so the challenges are great.
Have you ever been in a clan before and, if so, which one and for what game? Nope, none I can think of.
Top Three things you cant live without:
1. My ATmega328 & STK500 (yea, they go together)
2. The rock band I play in. We've got some pretty sick tunes down!

I believe this depends on 3 main factors:

  ~Does the woodchuck want to chuck wood?
  ~Does the woodchuck have a need to chuck the wood?
  ~At what point would the woodchuck be too tired to chuck aforementioned wood?

After taking this into account, I have decided that a woodchuck could (and would) chuck:

Anything else we should know in consideration of your application?
I don't think much else, except I own a business (err... run. Not officially own) in Loomis (the city) as a computer repair technician. It pays pretty good, and I save people a pretty good amount (read: shitton) of money because of what the stores (bestbuy, Frys, Firedog. bestbuy doesn't deserve to be capitalized) charge. It gives ya that warm, fuzzy feeling inside... that may be the money too...

Favorite/Preferred TF2 Classes & Why?

I tend to learn new classes often, but my main classes are, in order of skill, Medic, Engineer, and Heavy.

I started with the Heavy because I enjoyed him in TFC. I usually pick heavy near the end of a round on def. simply because of how much damage he can deal. After playing as a Heavy for a while I started playing as a Medic simply because being a heavy showed me how important good medics are and how frustrating bad ones are. I play as a Medic most of the time simply because usually I'll join a team that doesn't even have one medic, and I feel every good team needs at least one good medic. After the Engineer update I started playing as an Engineer. Again, like medic, if I join a team without one I'll generally play as an Engineer. .....unless there isn't a medic either. Then I have a brain 'splosion.

Why do you want to join The :HIT: Clan?  The first time I found a :hit: server was one of the best few rounds of TF2 I've played - I was just starting out as an Engineer, and everyone was more then patient with me, even giving me hints like, "place the sentry closer to XYZ". Good servers are pretty hard to come by, so I figured I'd embrace one of the excellent ones I'd come across.

Have you ever been in a clan before and, if so, which one and for what game? I was in a TFC clan-like-object for a while (basically just a server group).

Anything else we should know in consideration of your application? I feel like I'm always learning new tricks in Team Fortress, and I'm never opposed to learning from someone better than me. I may not be the best player but at the very least I'm always a good asset to my team.
